Verwarmen met infrarood straling
If people stay in a room, is this preferably at their “comfort temperature”. It will not surprise you that there is no unambiguous temperature for this. The activities and clothing have a major influence and, moreover, this temperature will also differ for each person.
To heat up a room, more energy must be supplied than what the room loses in energy to its environment (transmission, ventilation and infiltration). In the bathroom people will usually want a higher temperature than in the rest of the house. The losses to the surrounding areas must therefore be taken into account here!
This heat can be supplied in various ways. One of them is heating with the infrared radiant heating panels. Radiant heat is not Hocus Pocus. Any object with a temperature above absolute zero (-273°C) will release energy to objects with a lower temperature. The intensity of the release is mainly dependent on the temperature of the radiating surface.
